Kern pulled in early because the seat wasn't bolted down or something. There was a red flag, so it looked like he got lucky. When they got ready to roll out again, his front tire was flat because the wheel was broken so it turns out he got really lucky.

Man, Herfoss appears to be the real deal but fuck that looked like a borderline dangerous checkup in the chicane. I get the move but that was a bit much.

He won the ASBK championship on a fucking Honda he is a super hero !

 

the Honda is one of the best bikes now in superstock trim, which ASBK is closer to compared to the real SBK in MA and WSBK.

 

He posted on Instagram a minute ago. In the hospital with tib/fib, doesn't remember what happened

There is no team running one in ASBK this year, if it was better than a Ducati or Yamaha or BMW you would think someone would have stepped up. I watched all of the races last year and it did not look like it was that great. He looked like he rode the wheels off it, compensating with corner speed and crazy brakes to make up for its lack of power.

 

Seriously. Dude is at the pointy end of ASBK. I didn't know he was doing the 200.
