That was interesting, thanks for posting it. The shots at the end in the rain really showed the wake coming off the car. I'd like to see a shot of GP bikes like that.
The Konig was amazing. There is actually one in the Barber museum. It was a 500cc two stroke four cylinder with a rotary valve. The engines use of gas dynamics was ahead of its time with rotary valves. The racer/design champion died racing it. This video is excellant
Actually it's not. There is so much wrong in that video that it's embarrassing, right from the beginning. He was born in '49, married and moved to Australia in '63, when he was 14? He initially moved to Germany to work for Maico, not Konig as he was a successful motocross rider in both NZ and Australia. That's only scratching the surface. The only bit they got right was about the corner at Silverstone, his attempt to get it sorted out, Vernon Cooper's reaction to it and his eventual crash.
