Driving 6hrs north tomorrow, and still don't think we are going to have enough to snowmobile. Gottdamn bullshit.

 

There's a reason I rent snowmobiles instead of buying.

 

It's been unseasonably cold here. I'm freezing my globules off.

 

We've had a pretty decent amount of snow. Not as great as last year, but still a good year.

The majority of the antelope herd froze or starved to death last winter in Wyoming, North Dakota, Idaho and Colorado. Also impacted elk and whitetail deer herds.

The worst winter in recorded history for those populations last year and not a word in mainstream news about it.

"Global warming" killed them by the thousands.

Hopefully this year was milder but winter 2022/2023 was a total disaster on an epic scale.

 

Same reason I bought one off a customer for $1000. It's only a thousand bucks sitting in the corner, not ten.
I rode once this year so far, got 116 miles last Tuesday and that looks like it for a while, no snow predicted. in Feb.

 

Agreed....SWFL has definitely been chillier this "winter" season that I recall the last couple years.

yep, they reduced their hunting tag allocations for the upcoming season due to this, which, thankfully i hadnt dropped my Wyo points in to the draw before they made that announcement. will wait a year or two to see how the counts bounce back before i apply.

Yeah, I was bitching to everybody I saw this morning when I was in town. Guy in TSC, girl at Kinney drugs, my massage girl all know of my unhappiness.

 

If one is into winter sports, one kinda needs cold and snow. So yeah, they're complaining.
