I will be missing tomorrow to go pick up engine parts that got delayed but will hopefully be at the track on Sunday. I will definitely be there next weekend. I hear them on track since earlier this morning. It was in the paper that Peacock will be broadcasting it also.

Dropped my 636 off at Huffs today and he said yeah we are racing at Daytona this weekend… I was thinking Holy Shit I am in the wrong business… I said you should have perfect weather for it and he said it doesn’t matter… It’s the I racing… I was laughing and he got a chuckle out of it…
Peacock has a few races and qual this weekend. Back in 2011 i spent the entire 24 hours in patrick dempseys pit. Good times!
Nice if cold day yesterday. Wandering around the pits was a little confusing as they were/are doing stuff for an upcoming movie there (Jerry Bruckheimer is the grand martial). There were real drivers with fake names on their suits real cars and matching "movie cars", old cars from last year that weren't entered, etc. I was looking at a Porsche (which is one of the "hero" cars) and it was beat to hell (not wrecked just beat up). "How did it get so beat up in just qualifying?" I thought. Turns out it was "aged" to look like it had just got off the grid from the 24 hours. Got Jenson Button's autograph on a Virgin F1 print I bought before the race, so that was cool!

Great start to the race...Cadillac looking strong. The available grandstands are full and they said it's the largest crowd they ever had, 228 drivers showed up.
