Take a look at what I got to watch as a kid, back in the early 70's. Yes, I consider myself very lucky for this experience. While I cannot recall if I specifically attended the 1970 race, I do know our family attended other CanAM races at Road ATL.
Lozano Bros Porting built a bunch of those motors. They just shut down shop a few months ago. Sad to see them go, but Mike is still at it building Flat Track motors and bikes these days.
The v-8 Can Am racing was spectacular. I grew up near Laguna Seca, started going to the Fall races that became Can Am with my dad in 1959 as a little guy. Always loved that show.
I stopped and got both parties' contact info and forwarded this to them. Who do you think is at fault here? I think it's the gray SUV for turning across three lanes. The missus thinks the dark sedan turned left out of turn.
I don't know who is at fault but I know who could have easily prevented a collision from happening: the gray suv.
When making a right hand turn like that you're supposed to turn into the right hand most lane. Just like when you make a left hand turn and turn into the left hand most lane. So this type of thing doesnt happen.
