Is there a guy in the community who lightens/machines rear brake rotors? I have 3 that I would like to lighten. Not sure if it is cheaper to pay someone to do it or just buy some light rear rotors. Thanks!
He's still around, not sure if he's still cutting rotors though. https://forums.13x.com/index.php?members/jcivince.22432/
Hard to beat just ordering a new one already done. https://www.superbikeunlimited.com/...-brake-rotor-yamaha-suzuki-honda-kawasaki-bmw
I own a machine shop. I can’t imagine it’s cheaper to pay some one to program, set up and the run a couple then it is to just buy one. maybe a hobbyist with a knee mill and a rotary table could do it on the cheap. Even as a guy that owns CNC’s I’d just buy one. Just my .02
the guy i referenced was doing them for $75 shipped, and they were original, oem rotors and not cheap chinesium rotors. Fwiw
that’s a great price. He must’ve done quite a few and has a really good/efficient process hammered out
Yep, that's what I was getting at. He can do a lot of different bike models and just did a couple for me. He's even got some different patterns to choose from depending on the bike.
