My brother in-law has us booked for some hot laps 03/08-10.
Same weekend as the race in St.Pete.

Yep, it's right next to I4. I'm about 10 miles as the crow flies from that place. Perhaps i'll try it out one day!

That's during bike week.

 

With all the internet and whatnot, it still surprises me that something like this (not a million miles from me) would get approved and fully built without me hearing about it in some newsletter, or whatnot. Of course, i am hearing about it here, so I guess that counts (even if a little late in the process)...

Presumably, the track is a bit to armco-y for bikes, but one can dream...

 

Like you have anything better to do during bike week....

That track looks like a usual Tilke track. Effing awful.
