Raleigh, North Carolina. I’ll be in the area doing some contract work and would love to get out and see middle and eastern North Carolina. Not the Skyway, or the Cherahala or the Gap. Been there, done that many times over (And loved every minute). Any great places to overnight camp, take the four wheeler or just do cliché tourist things? TIA
My son lives there...all I can tell you is the traffic is unbelievable! (at least compared to "the middle of nowhere" PA).
Not specifically Raleigh, but you can probably find some OHV trails of the Uwharrie national forest near by. https://www.fs.usda.gov/activity/nfsnc/recreation/ohv/?recid=48112&actid=93
Drive down to Fayettenam and see the 82nd airborne museum. Lots of Korean restaurants and dry cleaners by Bragg. And pawn shops with military gear...imagine that. I dont think Ricks Lounge is open though....so you cant see that glorious site anymore. And yes I know "they" changed the name...but F*%^ them. Its still Bragg to me.
