Hmm, I wonder if Moto2 will be affected in any way due to this decision? Not much difference in engine size now (layout aside).

Instead of doing that they ought to ban all that ugly ass areo shit.

Yeah they need to get a handle on the aero and let it be developed to some degree but limit its utility. If they’re already homologating the aero couldn’t they require teams to submit wind tunnel test results and establish minimum drag coefficients etc.? Also stop with the deforming suspension and whatnot.

I assume the problem they’re trying to solve for is that the bikes are getting too fast for circuits.

The fuel regulations seem to be effective at limiting total energy as does limiting total engine usage so they’re forced to detune them.

Does Yamaha get to keep the 1000cc engine for a year?

Electronics and computers are totally out of control in every facet of society. We need to learn that not everything needs a microchip stuck in it and a connection to the internet.

Seems like lowering the rev limit would be another way to slow them down a bit, and pretty easy to monitor with the spec ECU.

    Steeltoe What's my move?

    Make em 400cc.

    25,000 rpm limit

    850 is a good size.

Would be nice if they got rid of the aero, and suspension jacking thing.
You would think they would like to lower the cost.

I'm curious to see how the development goes around 850cc. Do you think they'll keep the bore size? Will anyone do a triple? So many questions...
