    The original Pee-Wee stuff was adult, and awesome. The later watered down stuff was still pretty good. He put forward some great characters that were not Pee-Wee, over the years as well. Sorry to see him go.

    I too am somewhat saddened by his death. I enjoyed his show, watching it with my son in bygone days on Saturday mornings. Was just thinking of PTerry and other characters like Jambi the other day when I repeated that "Dad Joke" in the joke thread.

    Also loved him in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

    Never saw him as Pee-wee Herman. First time I saw him on screen was probably Batman Returns. Most memorable one was probably Blow.
