    Eh, wasn't taking Papas comment as being about a GOAT, more about there always being someone faster, in this case faster than Cal. As a side note, a GOAT isn't necessarily currently a faster rider than those out there but can be.

    Marc was the more complete racer overall, but I think as far as outright talent and pace no one has touched Casey, though Marc isn’t far off.

    Also, if the t-shirt salesman hadn’t blocked Stoner from joining Yamaha in 2007 then he probably would’ve got 5+ titles himself. Not to mention Stoner was doing all that while suffering the onset of chronic fatigue syndrome.

    I’d like to see Marc come back and make the field look stupid again, but I don’t think his body is up to the task anymore regardless of what bike he’s on. I really admire and enjoy watching Marc, but he should probably pack it in so he can have some chance of one day playing with his kids without popping opiates every morning. How much more can this dude’s body take? Homeboy has another 50-60+ years to enjoy the generational fortune he earned, hopefully he gets some perspective.
