    I think they are tallying up all the event days between the dirt track, the dragway, the super speed way and I guess the two halves of the planned road course. The last time CMS expanded, the track started construction without permits. When the city objected, and started moving to stop construction, Bruton Smith reminded them of all of the revenue he generated and threatened to shut everything down and move all of his events to another venue that he owned. Needless to say, he got everything he wanted.

    Another track within an hour would be awesome but as with all things Smith, it's probably going to be expensive.

    Agree, but bet it's 1400 event days happening even without the road course - I'm sure it also includes car shows and autocross in parking lots and every other things they rent space out for.

    Was it better than the Richmond Grand Prix?!?

    I saw on the news there was a big chemical fire down there last week and it reminded me of that forgotten event, damn what almost 25 years ago now?
