Bikes are on track for SuperSport FP1 - they are streaming it live for free (so far) https://www.worldsbk.com/en/live
It should be a good race and another chance to see that amazing venue on video, so count me in. There is more to life than championships.
My lowly opinion… I didn’t forget about it although I just assumed it would be at that other Australian track however, I think SBK should wrap before MotoGP. In my head the last GP wraps up road racing for the year and I’m looking ahead to January when Supercross kicks off.
Travis Wyman is doing a wildcard in the ASBK support race. Finished 21st in FP2: https://computime.com.au/Meetings/2022/ASBK22_6//ASBK22_6_P06.pdf He's done well. The ASBK field is a little deeper than MotoAmerica when you go down the grid (but the fastest guys in MotoAmerica would obviously be fast in ASBK too) so not a huge surprise that he isn't near the top 10, but fingers crossed he gets in the points by the end of the weekend.
Interesting, saw that Anthony West is there and in 3rd place on a bike that is down 12 KPH from 1st and 9-10KPH from most everyone else in the top 10.
I shake my head every time i hear miller corner.. Race was great imo, lots of action and a tire change to boot.
Yep. Great race. Good on the Smith sticking it out and not doing a tire change. I think he finished higher than he would have if he would have stopped. Not saying that was the right move for the leaders, as their faster pace would have burnt through those rains a lot quicker as well.
Yeah, Smith staying out was awesome. I think he qualified dead last? Good strategy there. Gerloff did well. Excited to see him next year on the BMW.
HAVE to comment on them making noise about Troy Corser attending, and they failed to mention the (other) Troy standing beside him. Bayliss
Great weekend for AB. Took the gamble in the SP race and took the dub. Then, in race two, took his time getting to the front and maintaining until the red flag.
Race II was about to get very interesting w/ JR's pace and the rain. P.S. How does Nozane get a Moto2 ride with his lackluster performance in SBK? Bags of sponsorship $$$ ?
Shout out to Laverty, dude was a wheelman. Had he not jumped ship to GP on that shit Honda CRT bike and stayed in the Ape factory, Rea might not have as many championships.
Nice to see Bautista basically dominate again. Will be easier for WSBK to make those new weight rules now. LOL
