it's been a while, but doesn't the pull go over the part of the suit that velcros at top of the suit to help the zipper not come down?

 

I've seen pulls that have tabs at their piviot area that run through the slider and engage with the chain, when the pull is level with the slider, this is a basic lock to keep the slider from moving down. In this case, the velcro patch should definitely go over the slider/pull combo to insure the tabs engage with the chain.
