Versahauler. Quality piece of equipment. Holds 650lbs if I recall. I'd go big Incase ya need to transport anything big.
The hitch carrier, but I’m pretty confident my street legal 2stroke carrying Honda jeep would get me all the way to the Darien Gap. …we can’t all have a custom rig like this KTM guy.
Depending on what SUV you've got and how stout the suspension is, even a Grom may cause you to squat in the back. You might wanna get some sumo springs for the rear if you're gonna go this route.
My SUV has a shitty 350 lb tongue capacity. I'm looking at a moto hauler to haul an FS450 around. Looks like I'll be at 287 total weight on the tongue, but how limited am I going to be with stowing shit in the back of the car with that load on the rear? I'm not super worried about the hourlong trips to the kart track or local race tracks, but ideally I would like to haul this setup out to Utah (8 hour trip) and ride UMC. Thanks in advance.
with the overland craze some companies were making inexpensive spacer plates for strut towers to get 1-3" more ride height for the folks that didnt want to spend $500+ a corner for suspension. How much stuff are you wanting to carry?
Not a ton. I have a big old husky box for my track stuff. Weighs maybe 100 pounds? Some misc stuff I could put more forward into the cabin.
Is this any good? I wouldn't mind being able to carry a Zuma safely with my Exploder using a hitch carrier. https://www.etrailer.com/Vehicle-Suspension/Ford/Explorer/1996/RAS3526.html?VehicleID=19964042846
Dude, what @Tristan is offering is a GOOD DEAL. I've tried a few "good" hitch carriers (new) for just a bit less. The MotoTote's are solid.
If only it were somehow able to be attached to your vehicle to be easily picked up... I've gone further to pick up scooters, vans, and bikes- but I get it. This would probably do the job fine for ya- https://www.amazon.com/7BLACKSMITHS...t=&hvlocphy=9014895&hvtargid=pla-896307121140
i may see how we can coordinate something about getting this from you. only issue is we're probably not anywhere near each other for travels or race weekends.
