Fuck, RIP Scott. I was hoping the ambulance they showed going to his crash scene was just to get him for a broken leg or something. :(

I heard about this as I was packing to go to the track. Made me pause and rethink things. RIP Scott.

This sucks. I just met him. My friend who transports my bike to the West Coast has been working with him this season. He helped us out on the grid at Laguna. Godspeed racer.

That’s why I was there. That’s my “home club” since 1995. Now I work with a kid racing the West Coast CRA and AFM.

Anyone know how Thermiotis is doing? Was his accident in the same place?

Being “retired” from racing for several years now, this stuff still hits me square in the gut with a sledge hammer.

    RIP Racer….☹️

For sure…we had a guy die in a freak accident in my mens league ice hockey a couple of weeks back and that was really bad…glad I wasn’t there that night.

    Rip Racer

Scott was one of my favorite people, I always looked forward to hearing his voice at the track. Great dry sense of humor, always ready to help anyone and do it without expecting anything in return. This morning I heard his voice behind me, he had come to our pit to see if we had a spare brake pressure sensor. He said "How can I get in on this man sandwich?" on his way in, classic Scott.

Know this - that talking with his crew he was on a burner on his last lap, multiple green sectors. On his last pit stop he said the bike was perfect. If there's any justice in Life I hope he was wearing a huge smile under his helmet, doing what he loved. I will miss him greatly.
