I wonder if Fillmore or Ty Howard could give you the Ktm brass contact info. The powers to be should know about this idiot

There are other ways to handle it “man to man” with out becoming physical. The reality is, it’s extremely difficult to resolve an at/on track issue after the fact and after leaving the track. I realize a scramble offers some challenges as well as the OP being injured. At the very least, a greater issue needed to be made at the event - when all parties were present. Trying to resolve issues after the fact is extremely challenging. The offending party being a minor has minimal bearing towards this.

The issue is if the stories are true there have been several "issues" and they create a pattern that needs to be broken sooner rather than later.

If this was a one off yeah, it happens, race incident, heat of the moment, sorry, whatever. But it's not.

My guess is we will hear about these from time to time until he gets into the wrong person and gets re-trained.

Nothing good comes from any of this.

Yep :stupid: And always better to break the pattern at the track vs. afterwards.

I’m sure OP would have preferred to deal with this incident at the track, when it happened, but he was busy getting to the ER and having broken bones set.

Cant someone just throw a stick into his front wheel and cause an endo? That's what we used to do when we were kids.....

Thanks Captain Obvious. I’m also sure the OP would prefer some level of adjudication.
Let us all know when he gets it. :moon:

There is zero reason/benefit for me to lie about this. I'd never even heard of him before he caused my injury.

This is is likely correct and it is a sad pill that only becomes harder to swallow as days pass.

Yeah if the kid is man enough for a KTM factory ride, he's definitely man enough for a conversation about a serious incident he most likely caused. If he and his old man can't handle that level of "confrontation", they will see themselves out of the sport sooner than later either way.

So you're saying that someone might get arrested for finding it, meanwhile he wouldn't get arrested for having it?

    That's impossible...

If this were circle track car racing it would be explained to the kid that he's not going to win another race until he learns to act right. Then go out there and knock him down or otherwise screw up his race.

I'm not advocating hurting him or doing any real bike damage. When I rode Hare Scrambles there were always enough tight/slow sections you could screw with someone if you were so inclined.

What are you, this kid's ex girlfriend? Next you'll say "hire a hitman." Spoiler alert: The "hitman" ALWAYS turns out to be an undercover cop. :Poke:

No, I just like creative solutions to difficult problems.
As far as hiring a hitman goes, just bring in a racer who isn't in the series and have him take the kid out
during the race. Introduce him to a bigger asshole, so to speak, so he can appreciate the effect his own actions have.
It certainly wouldn't be the first time someone got taken out in a revenge move, we've all seen it happen.

While I do not actually recommend anyone do these things, they are the kind of things that can happen if the problem isn't adequately and swiftly addressed by the people who can address it the right way. What that should consist of, I can't say, but it should be enough to reassure other racers who rarely complain about a dangerous racer at this level.
"That's racing" can't cover every circumstance and in this case, that seems to be the consensus.
