I never realized that so many of these racers participated in no-score-keeping sports as kids. Their shelves must be full of participation trophies that attest to their greatness.
You can only race something that awful against itself - anything else is unfair. That about the gist of this?
I'm pretty sure it is. If I recall correctly Jesse's dad built the original Lurch that Schwantz raced and it looks like this bike is based off of that one (maybe the same one?). Note Jesse's avatar.
Any place that can have the beginning of baseball season get snowed out, and the end of baseball season get snowed out, is no place for me to live!!!!!!! Baseball is played during the summer.
It'd be great to get about 20 racers together with killer bikes that meet the rules to go wreak havoc on the class!
I think that havoc has already been wreaked. As I said before I was there and it was a completely weird scenario. Lots of chest puffing and anger. Makes me glad we race in the 600 class
There was a guy named Fernando that raced a KZ750 B (twin) with RACE in Canada in a class that was designed for air cooled Ducatis, but did not specifically prohibit other makes. I will never forget watching him run that thing as high as third place in that class. The Ducati guys hated him and protested him every time. I guess they felt a dash of Sake was ruining the marinara.
I remember that guy, he was there the first couple years I started. Remember that he used to tie that thing up in knots riding the wheels off it.
Eff that $20K engineered in 2014 'New Buell' BS . Pick up an EBR for cheap and rip that bitch. I'm not fast, but I've seen the lap times and I'd clean UP if I entered that class.... By far the most fun for the least money I've ever had.
