Literally the main reason I want to see this film. Good god she aged well.

 

Nothing to do with top gun, but my old tv died, and I splurged on a fancy samsung qled? thats 12 inches bigger. Holy shit the picture is fantastic! Of course my first thought is now I need blue ray porn to watch lmao

Just saw this weekend.
I really liked it, but some people in the theater were a little too much, they were clapping and cheering almost like was real life.

 

Same kind of folks that clap when their plane lands after a tiny bit of turbulence on approach I'd imagine.

 

Saw it Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed it!

 

I have been waiting for this movie for over a year. Cant stand this era of movies for reasons stated above.

Saw this in an Imax and was just extremely entertained. This is why we go to movies. It didnt disappoint. Will watch it again for sure. FINALLY! A movie that doesnt have the BS ruining it... Tom Cruise is a great actor. I dont give a shit who he is in real life. He gets paid to act, he is among the best at acting.

This movie lived up, not as good as the first but dang right behind it. Im an 80's kid. Hard to beat many movies from that era in todays world.

You want to be entertained and leave the movie in a great mood, go see it.

 

There are always going to be people that won’t go to the movies because they are too cool for it and make sure to let you know how uncool you are for going. Don’t care about cruise, it was super entertaining and hit the right marks. I know F18’s like the back of my hand, and went with a racer buddy of mine (that has spent hundreds of hours in the backseat of 18’s)with the understanding that it would be unrealistic, and we had to STFU and just watch. We were both pleasantly surprised. It’s a legit great movie.

Saw it i today, loved it. No “the message”, no destroying old characters you loved to build up some new age crap.
They didn’t butcher the old movie to make todays movie feel “relevant” for todays audience. Looking at you Disney…..

there were def moments I caught myself holding my breath and moving my head with the movements of the plane. And an awesome nod to an awesome plane, the Tom cat.

Immediately when he pulled it out of the locker. I thought to myself..... "NICE, they definitely pissed off some CCP pricksuckers with that move." A VERY un-Hollywood move in and of itself

 

Yeah, after the change in the trailer and all the talk about it I was surprised to see they had swapped back to the original.

 

I loved it, but I still think the original was better- more realistic. Jennifer Connoly as the love interest more than makes up for any perceived shortcomings!

What's all the Tom Cruise hate? I guess I don't follow the celeb news? Last thing I remember him doing that was strange was 15 years ago when he was married to Katie Holmes? Jumping on Oprah's couch or something.

Isn't he a motorcycle guy? If so we should cut him a break.
