Anyone experienced in wrenching on a C8 Corvette?

My buddy is a tech in Sarasota, he does all the high-end vette stuff

 

lots of C8's at the track whenever I go.

 

Assuming you are aware of transmission issues they are having?

Is it based on the same 10 speed co-developed between Ford and GM?

 

Not even close

 

It's not an automatic, it's a dual clutch.

 

8 speed. So.... while I had it all apart I put a CAI, ported throttle body and ported air intake manifold on it. The 2 liters of transmission fluid seemed to do the trick. Taking it for a check up next week anyway.

 

My truck has that one lol.

 

I can name like one or two factory dual clutched manual transmission out there, and none of them will shift automatically. Because if they do it automatically, they are automatics....

 

Ok ok... let's put it this way guys.....it doesn't have a torque converter.

 

Isnt that what the tires do? COnvert engine torques to speed???

Don’t get pissy at me because the driver has been relegated to sitting in the car while the electronics do all the work.
