If any of you have the National Geographic "channel", be sure to watch "The Rescue", a documentary about the rescue of the Thai boys trapped in a flooded cave. Best doc I've seen in a very long while. The extent of this operation is beyond imagination. At one point they had 2000 people on site, some of them diverting the flow of rivers to stop the flooding. The Brit cave divers who spearheaded the rescue are complete badasses/nerds and worthy of the highest respect. It's f@cking amazing. Highly recommended.
Really enjoying "Severance" right now. A Philip K. Dick inspired sci-fi show where some employees work for a weird corporation and had a separation of their brain between their personal life and work life. Visually stunning with mid-century aesthetics and great acting including John Turturro and Christopher Walken. Very cool show. https://www.wired.com/story/severan...eGYi_6NZa9JWazTYB_YL_kQXipd2_AQnaWC6x0LycX52M
Yeah its super good, I’m almost caught up and its getting nutty the last few episodes. Very well done show.
Anybody watch Invisible Pilot on HBO? Caught a few minutes of an episode last night and looked pretty good.
Yeah, I thought it was bad enough in "Logan Lucky" but in hindsight, that turned out to be free of practice. He went full qualifying with the accent in "Knives Out."
Yes, got the two mixed up. I think it was revenge for Dick Van Dyke's Cockney accent in Mary Poppins.
Watched it last night. Thought it was gonna be about Barry Seal. Come to find out there were lots of Barry Seal's.
