This is a great entry for most Lightweight and Middleweight classes as well as AHRMA SOS1. This bike is a great match against the Kramers at half of the cost and has beaten them on many occasions.

11k for the package and have a couple pails of VP U4.4 to go with it.

Wow, that is awesome. The 390 chassis holds up well enough the double the engine?

Yes it has held up very well over the last few years. The stock RC390 chassis was modified to install the motor and radiator, essentially from there the suspension was stiffened up and braking power improved to manage the higher power and top speeds.

Dig it! The Harley paint job is inspired, nicely done with that build.

I'd like to see more pictures of the build and how that engine got crammed in there. There's barely any room for the engine on a stock 390. Very cool

Yes there was not much room, here is a brief description of what was done to install in the frame. Ill take some more photos tonight and upload them.

Cut the 390 motor mounts out entirely. The 690 uses the swingarm mount so you have to gut the internals between the two main frame rails and make it the correct width. Remake the front mount to mimic the 690 duke one as well. You also have to make a fairly complex piece to tie the frame to the lower rear mounts.

Clearly not a stock 690 fuel tank...did you have to fabricate or able to use from another bike?

  13. Austin McCabe

    Austin McCabe Member

The fuel tank is the stock RC390 tank.

Those rear sets are nice. Wish they would work on a Duke.

Very cool build. Wish I had the skills to pull off that kind of fab work.

Builder here, ask any and all questions. My most successful and joyous motorcycle to date and an absolute little terror on track. Whoever buys it will have direct access to me for any questions as it is very very complicated.
