Anybody watch the Oscars?

Yeah, if these guys just want "attention", Chris Rock wants it for being a funny comedian, and Will wants it for being a great actor. Nobody involved in this came out ahead. Also, anyone who says "there's no such thing as bad publicity"…has never received bad publicity before.

Anyone saying Will Smith is a great actor needs to rewatch any of his terrible terrible movies.

I actually would've been more suspicious if it had been a punch. But a bitch slap? Nah, dawg. He wasn't complicit.

 

Have you seen some of the movies Al Pacino or Robert De Niro have made? Even "great actors" have roles that they cannot do the really proud of in hindsight. I'm not saying that Will Smith is a great actor. Just that having his name attached to some terrible movies does not necessarily disqualify him. I can think of a few really good roles too.

DeNiro's movies for the last 20 years have been an insult to his career, completely agree. Will Smith never had anything worth mentioning. His name on a poster is pretty much synonymous with "boring ass flick". As a lover of sci-fi, if he's in it, you just know it's going to suck.

 

I think it was staged. The walking to the stage was very calm and deliberate.

That being said, Ive seen some Will Smith interviews which makes his wife seem like an overtly abusive narcissist. Which means his head is pretty messed up.

 

Six Degrees of Separation, Ali, Concussion, The Pursuit of Happiness, King Richard. You thought they were all bad?
