New to WERA Provisional Novice or Novice?

Hi all,

I took N2's race school fall of 2020, and raced last year (2021) in a regional series (LEAN Trackdays Endurance Series). Do I register as a provisional novice or novice for WERA?

Did LEAN issue you a novice class race license?

How many races did you complete?

 

Is your name on the back of your leathers? How long is your screwdriver? Do rearsets repaired with JB Weld meet technical inspection requirements? What color powerbands are legal for the classes you run?

 

Do you own a clapped out SV650?

 

Most of this information is covered in the WERA Rulebook, specifically Chapter 7 (Rider and Crew Requirements) sections 12 and 13. You'll need to contact WERA to be sure but it sounds like you need only supply your racing resume and you'll get in as Novice, not Provisional.

-> Yes, novice license with LEAN, but they're not on the 'Acceptable' list in the rules.
-> 2 out of 3 of the 40 minute endurance races.

-> No name on leathers, as long as you like it , JB weld is great, and I think I'm missing out on a meme for the powerband
