"Perhaps there are other video examples..." It would seem you missed that part. Or just ran away from it.
Put Flag Football flags on each side of the QB's hips. If he wants to be considered "down," he pulls a flag himself.
The view I saw was enough for me to form an opinion relative to this specific event. The QB was on video for the duration of the clip. Get the fuck over yourself, you condescending piece of shit, I am not running from a damned thing.
I don't care if someone disagrees with me but do not try to tell me I didn't see what I saw. If the video had been inconclusive, I would have stated as much.
They might...if I watched. I'd rather read the news. It gives me a chance to do my own fact checking.
I'm guessing the NCAA rules committee was following this thread for advice on how to handle this. Another possibility would be the defender can cream the QB as long as he doesn't actually have his ass or knee (or elbow) on the ground no matter how deep into the slide he is. That would force the QB to begin the slide early enough to be sure he is down before contact.
I'm not following all of this,but... If I were coaching,I would implement my nastiest 3rd string mauler with the sole intention of late hits, until he got ejected. Just to put today's latte pussy boy qb on notice. I'm sick of all these flag football rules. Let em play, let em hit!
I’m going to absolutely hate seeing a all SEC Championship game. Unfortunately Xichigan and Northern Kentucky are going to be out of their league. It’s going to be over for both before halftime, my prediction.
Funny to see a lot of Great White Northern sports writers swinging all over Blue and Bearcat dangly parts. Like ND and writers out west every year believing playing one top 25 worthy adversary a year entitles them to a playoff berth. Granted the ' ronatime has seemed to instill a little parity in college ball, there are likely still more SEC and ACC championships to come. I did root for the Spartans based on their uncanny ability to knock OSU or Michoacan out of contention.
Hmm, Bama looked a bit shaky but still imposed their will on Northern Kentucky. They just couldn’t hold up against the Bama defensive line. Sucks, Alabama was really thin in their secondary.
