I chatted with him at the Hayden booth one year at Indy, one Kentuckian to another. He was the nicest man and a hoot to talk to, a true ambassador of the sport. Still have his signature on my old Ducati bag.

RIP Mr. Hayden. Roger IG'd a picture of him over X-mas with the kids, glad he got that with the family.

Saw that. That was probably good and bittersweet for whole family.

Was hoping the headline of this thread would lead to a different topic. Sad. RIP.

This sucks. Best wishes to his family but I am sure that his being a great man, loved and respected by many may add some comfort in this time of loss.

Dang. Rest easy, Earl. Your legacy passed along through your family is a fine example and will be admired by the riding/racing community for many generations to come.

My condolences to the Hayden family. I saw a picture of him in bed on Roger's page with all the kids gathered around him on Christmas. Rest assured that man was truly loved by his family and he raised some truly bad ass motorcycle racers. God Speed Earl!!!
