    To answer some burning questions...

This is NOT replacing or competing with the MotoAmerica Junior Cup. The only instance that these championships will run at the same weekend is at the MotoAmerica finale at Barber.

The RS250SP2 is the newest version which features and updated engine with more HP (closer to 37-ish). These will only be available to Talent Cup competitors for 2022. The standard RS250SP will be available purchase for those that want a super fun track bike or kart track ripper (they are awesome to ride on larger kart tracks).

KYT will provide professional fitment for all riders competing in the series. It is no different than the Northern Talent Cup which has X-Lite as the official helmet and Red Bull Rookies Cup which has HJC. Sponsors help make these series happen.

    37ish HP on a Zhongshen sounds grenade’ish.

Unless they are using the proper Yamaha engine?

    interesting.

Phew, upon further review, Team Miller going to take a pass.

If I was in a single child situation would be a bit different.

We wish the participants great luck and we will be rooting for all of you!

How is this bike an Aprilia, with a Chinese engine and an Ohvale chassis?

Good question, appears the market is geared towards a much more affluent customer base. The Aprilia branding adds a certain amount of swag and customer appeal to those who want to drop the cabbage. (IMO)

To put things in perspective an alternative is available but lacks the marketability and social media presence (somethings Oh-vale is very good at).

This little rocket can be had turn key for at or less than 5k and uses near same engine as the Ape/Oh-vale. I'm sure head to head the Ape would be hard pressed to defeat.

Is that the bike SV parts is importing?

Yes, we were so close of picking up a couple but got spooked when the rumors of the Ape / Oh-vale dropped their bike. We learned from their mini business model they don't like racing their competition. Plus when you look at the current orgs rule books, it's a tough purchase when hardly anyone has classes for them.

As a father and geek on a tight budget, the Kawi 400 with actual fuel injection was the better alternative. (When racing multiple kids/and not having any asperations for overseas competition). To put it simply I was able to get two Ninja's race sorted and competitive for the price of one of those Ape's.

Past Glory I still have several AVON calendars from the 90's

There were at least a dozen of them running at VintageFest this year.

What floors me is the fact that they're sticking with carbs, Zongshen has EFI sorted on that motor.

If you only knew how divided the house is.

    Momma vs Poppa
    Brothers vs Sister
    Sons vs Poppa
    Daughter vs Momma

    Why does Hayden get everything...
    I'm faster than you...
Don't we have enough money sitting in the garage...
If Hayden gets to do this then I'll just retire...
Let's just sell all the mini's.
    THAT'S NOT FAIR.

I'm not sure how normal families operate.

Sounds pretty normal to me. Just at a higher price point than families in the stick and ball sports.

    Mandatory Entry Fee: $1650
Deposit: $1500 (Refundable if participant completes whole season)
    Bike plus "Kit": $13950

    Racer still responsible for:
    Entry Fee
Crash/Spare Parts (There will be crashing!) Only Rise permitted to supply
    Transporting bike to events
    Spec Fuel

    Plus costs of:
    Hotels
    Food
    Etc
Factor in average of four days to and from event

    X 7 rounds

17k initial investment for the year, and at minimal additional 2k each round. $23800 per rider (modest estimate)

Apparently we aren't the same in the cost analysis comparison to Ball and Stick sports! :D

The median household income is only $42k a year!;)
