I know a flier who actioned left even though he briefed right way back when he was a Lt. After that, his flight gloves were always marked with L and R.

To this day, some enlistee with balls the size of small moons still marks the back of every new pair of gloves that same pilot gets (now with the rank of LTC) with L for left and R for right.
