As the title says I'm selling a ready to race, fully restored 1991 TZ250b. Its absolutely beautiful, polished frame & wheel edges etc. The paint work it beautiful and it has significant developments put into the bike. Roland Cushway and I rebuild the engine, brakes & suspension. The ignition was upgraded to a 1994 CDI & rotor/stator. Dan Kyle himself rebuild the Ohlins shock (full specs available) and everything is ready to rip.
I had Kyle Ferris race this at Laguna Seca in July to showcase it to AHRMA buyers. He took 3rd in open two stroke against some serious competition posting a 1:38.5 lap time.

    Pics to follow.

For those of you who don't know, the 1991 TZ250 is the first year of the "modern" 90Degree V-Twin engine. Almost all parts are still available from Yamaha directly, other part sources fill in the gaps. Crankshaft rebuilds can be stretch to 2500-3000 miles (yes really) and top ends go for 300-600 miles depending on how you're riding it. These machines (1991-1999) are far more reliable and less prone to failure than the 5KE machines.

Very nice! What kinda spares do you have? Gearing, jetting, wheels, stands, consumables, cylinders, etc

There’s plenty of spares that come with the bike. I’ve got front & rear stands, crash spares, bars, pegs, levers and faring stay. I’ve got heads and gaskets and lots of seals etc. the original electrical system comes with it as well (CDI, harness & rotor/stator).

I don’t have any of the ‘“major parts” people like to call spares (wheels, cylinders or bodywork).
Either way, it’s a well set up, fast bike that it race ready.

He is in Chico, California. Peter is an excellent seller. 5 years ago he shipped me a bike from California to Michigan and the bike is amazing.

Sullivan, glad to hear that 125rs is still treating you well. As stated I am in Chico CA, I travel to the Bay Area often enough that putting it in a crate shipping it anywhere is easy. At this point, I have one interested party but no money yet.

Let me know if you’re interested or PM me your phone number.
    Peter

1:38.5 at Laguna, exactly the fastest my brother got around there in his 600hp Subaru :)

I can't believe this is still for sale. A V-twin TZ 250 for the price of a cup bike, wow. And the bike is beautiful.

You probably already know TZ250.com is the place for information on these bikes. They helped me tremendously when I first bought mine. Anyway they have classifieds.
