    Good luck getting an r6 for that price now-a-days. My budget was about 7k earlier in the year and ended up buying a 675 instead LOL.

    look into older models then.. newer R6s are worth $5500+ in parts witb the motor & suspension being the majority of cost.

    To piggyback on what TurboBlew said: The 03-05 R6 (and later R6S) are some very sweet handling bikes. They can be bought very well equipped for much less than the more current ones. And the motors have a reputation for being fairly durable. Even with bone stock suspension they have great front-end feel and do surprisingly well. Just a thought.
