Bond. James Bond

Hits theaters Friday night. It's the only time I'll go to the movies, so it's been over 5 years.

My grandmother took me to Dr. No when I was barely a toddler and I've been hooked ever since. I don't care if it sucks balls, I'll enjoy every minute. The greatest action hero ever created!

 

So we know now (generally speaking anyway) which actor is your favourite Dry Martini drinker...

It's been infiltrated by Woke-o Haram...no thanks.

 

Unfortunately they replaced James. And will be going full on GI Jane…

 

Of course I agree with that. My wife asked me to rate the Bonds last night. Here's my list:

Connery
Craig
Tie with Moore and Brosnon.
Dalton
Lazenby

I don't dislike any of them and need to watch Lazenby again. I've only watched that once and it was over 50 years ago.

 

No love for David Niven? Or Peter Sellers? Dang, you don't know your Bonds. And don't forget the original, Barry Nelson.

And yes, I've seen all of these. I do likes me some Bond. And I know that Sellers played a guy who was playing Bond.

 

Lazenby only got one shot at it, of course, but I thought he did a solid job. No one can touch Connery, but Craig has come the closest. I hate to see him go. Please report back after you see the new release and let me know if it's going to make me angry.

 

Connery then Moore. Last one was pretty bad for a Bond movie. They need to have Dennis Leary direct the next one with full permission to go asshole.

 

I read the books long before any of them. The movie characters never measured up to the Bond in the books.

BTW, I agree, no one can touch Connery, but Craig has come the closest.

From everything I've heard, this will do for Bond what "The Rise of MarySue...errr Skywalker" did for Star Wars. Good luck, I'll pass.
