is the greatest show on TV. Prove me wrong. Check it out on Amazon. It's an 80s Romanian Commie/Buddy Cop TV show about the decadent west trying to corrupt the pure commie-ness that existed back then. Channing Tatum and a bunch of other celebrities dubbed it. Its amazing. A perfect combination of old school cop show, commie propaganda with just a hint of cheesiness.
I tried to watch this on Amazon Prime as it sounded promising, but something was messed up with video (or my TV) and it made everything look super cheesy. I believe they call it the soap opera effect. I don't have Prime anymore but ifI can find it from another source, I'd give it another shot.
Wonder why no one has done a film based on Martin Cruz Smith's investigator Renko character? An honest Russian cop and a healthy dose of Brezhyevschina doesn't get much more noir.
