Not a drop in sleeve. Since we're stuck at stock bore by rules (and with no service piston), they allow us to Nikasil bore so we can size hone to new stock pistons after stock iron bore wears out.
I thought sv was lasts one with iron Either way it has to be serviceable. I got one pulling in shop today, will get to see it up close
The only Ducati to use wet liners are the super Quadro engines 899-1299. All others have always been dry liner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've been eyeing these pretty hardcore lately.. I've only ever ridden 600cc bikes my whole life, aside from a few sessions on a newer R1 in 2020. The R1 really made me wanna buy a big bike.. I liked the electronics TBH.. The twins class stuff looks really fun. It would also be fun to try to do the 2 hour endurance stuff too. I've watched a few track videos with them and they look like a blast. What's up with the top clamp though? seems weird to lock in the clip ons like that.. They seem sweet and I wanna ride one.
FYI the 2 hour WERA/N2 endurance is ULW (300's and 400's). Assuming the RS660 is allowed in LW endurance, that would run the 4 hour races with MW and HW.
I fully support this. As far as the RS660, I am still wildly skeptical of its supposed dominance and ability to not blow up... I support the idea of endurance racing even more.
I mainly wanna try some sort of endurance/longer race. I don't necessarily wanna do 4 hours, but 30-45 minutes would be good. Sprint racing is cool and all but they're over so fast. There's nothing in between.. You can either do a 14 minute race or 4 hours. lol
Just saw this on the facetubes post. Could be an optimistic dyno but still with no motor work anything north of 90hp is healthy for a lightweight twin
