I think heads up both at their prime on equal equipment would be a coin flip. I would have to give Tiger the nod based on strength of field, he was on a different planet for a while then everybody copied what he did and generally raised the bar for the game.

Ginger Baker would be my vote even it he was completely insane.

M2 carbine? Good but a bad cartridge and an even worse magazine. The mini14 is the rifle they wanted the M2 to be.
Garand thumb, the "clip" and the ping, an over powered cartridge that could shoot through an M113 that's hidden behind a concrete wall and still kill a horse, weighed a ton. . . great for the time but, now, meh. I'd argue the commie AK47 most of the time, the FAL when I'm drunk.
