Was he asymptomatic or did he get it pretty bad? If he had it bad I would think that he may fatigue over race distance. It drains you pretty good so I've heard. I was asymptomatic, except for losing smell and taste, so I don't have first hand experience with recovery.
After watching the computer sim video that Papa posted, I am guessing the next step will be break away T-Camera posts, as that seemed to hang up and keep him close to the guardrail, versus the survival cell being flung further away from the guardrail.
