this is why no official release from Hammer or Suzuki

Today on his Instagram feed, 37-year-old Elias posted the following (which has not been edited):

I writing down this lines whitout any permition…

Man does it on his own terms!

Agree but prior to the start of the season if I said Fong would way out perform Toni it would have been met with ridicule (rightly so).

I think Toni never gelled with the Suzuki/new Dunlop tire combo. I dont think his skillset dropped off that much. If he ends up on a different manufacturer next year I see him winning a championship. I just dont think anyone has the consistent skillset to out perform him (talent alone). I will still watch next season. Still rooting for BluCrew but Toni will be a threat for sure no matter what bike.

Get Yamaha USA onboard with Jeff Palhegyi and I bet something competitive could be built.;)

Toni went on the MotoAmerica Podcast and clarified that he is not retiring, he is just leaving Suzuki.

Not disagreeing with his talent but I think a healthy Fong is a big threat, I think Scholtz and Gagne will only get stronger. Oh and is PJ coming back and on what? I have not kept up on rumors of who is where but there is some strong teams and good talent (oh and does Ducati bring it after dipping a toe in this year?)

So the possible seats open for Toni are:
    Cams seat on Attack Yamaha:
    Honos Kawasaki
    HSBK Ducati
With Honos and HSBK not 100% confirmed to race next season.
Personally, I think I would love to see him on the Ducati. (and im a kaw guy).

  14. It would be awesome if....

Zanetti comes back for a full season, with Chaz Davies as a teammate.

Then move Escalante up to SBK on a Honos/Graves ZX-10, with Elias as a teammate.

Then Herrin back to Yamaha, with SDK moving up to the vacant Suzuki seat.

It would be great to have 8-10 guys all capable of winning.

Isn't Zanetti a test rider for Ducati? Would he want to come to the US to race full time?

I wonder how he and Canepa are going to back into Europe?

Zanetti's contract hasn't renewed with Ducati yet so he's available .

Dave, not sure how it works in Italy, but when I my brother came home back in September he was able to go back to Deutschland because he had a permanent residence there.

Yeah, last I knew you went into "lockdown" for 14 days immediately upon arrival. If they let you in at all.

No idea anymore but shit is supposed to get freaky over there in the next few weeks.
