Skid steer vs. Utility tractor

    You and me both. Nothing wrong with the Kubota tractor but there are so many jobs it just isn't quite up for. It doesn't lift as much as I'd like, and honestly the tracked Bobcat I rented was just as fast.

    I wish I could afford both. Fortunately I have a nice neighbor with every piece of machinery known to man.

    We talking skid steer with tracks or a compact track loader because there is a difference. Tractor won't tear everything to shit, a skid steer will, even worse with tracks. A CTL will be a lot better, somewhere in the middle of the two. I think you'd be able to do a lot more with a skid steer, and a lot faster, but they are a lot heavier and bigger isn't always better depending on your needs. Definitely an open ended question to answer.
