Incredible car. Beautiful car. But no way I’d buy a NSX with a fixed top.

Ima guess buyer doesn't follow thru.
Bid history doesn't equate to a $282,017 purchase.

Good gawd ! Now we know why Miguel was selling. That's quite the increase in value, since they were sold $80,000 originally.

    TWF2 2 heads are better than 1

Friend had one of this and we traded cars for couple weeks with possibly trading for good. Other than look not much about it I liked.
He sold it few years ago for ~$40k.

A fool and his money are soon parted...

    Nostalgia is greatly over priced.

I love vintage bikes and cars. But owning them is a different story. And the new ones are so good !

The thing that made that car great was it was close to an exotic but reliable enough to be daily driven. At that price point you can't put any miles on it now. It's basically a place holder for a large sum of money.

You could buy a hell of a nice new Lambo or a yeller Ferrari for that kind of money.

Classic cars have proven to be a better investment vehicle than real estate in the past few decades.

    Except maybe LA/Bay Area pre-COVID.

I dont know that to be true by any means. People with large car collections have extensive real estate holdings with which to store them. Thats not even including hired pros to clean, maintain, or transport them. Also from a pure financial standpoint many collections are money losers of almost albatross levels. The only real value is the joy the owner feels driving or the memories it illicits.
Obviously there are exceptions like prototype vehicles with no vin or something historically relevant.

That's the biggest stretch for a counterargument I've ever heard, but okay. You think property is maintenance free too?

I worked as a detailer and all-around gopher at an Acura dealership in 92-94 while in high school. We had one. I got to drive it maybe 2 miles total to put fuel in it and bring it around to the detail shop. Not much of a test drive, but it was kind of a letdown. I hyped that thing up to all my buddies previously because I was an “Acura guy” but I couldn’t after that. The twin turbo 300zx we got in on trade was wayyy more car. But it was pretty to look at, and I was nervous as hell detailing it and driving it.

Yeah, I guess. I've made money, lost money and generally just sucked at it. :D

Watches is where I made money! Buy in is much lower, sell at above suggested retail and a sucker is born every minute at a much lower buy in.
