Pol fastest in the morning test, so maybe the KTMs found something. If so this weekend could be an even better race. Rossi's bike has a new funky looking exhaust.
i had that one on my 2001 Aprilia Mille. went to a ducati trackday and put the desmoseidici to shame (just sound wise though)
I have one on my bike too - love the sound (it's LOUD...just the way I like it) That's how I remembered Danmoto had one that looked like that pic of Rossi's
Nakagami's comments are interesting. I don't buy his "no negatives" comment because he knows that public negative feedback on the bike wouldn't do him any favors. He's not racing the bike, the rules prohibit him from racing the bike, and he's currently getting MM level treatment from HRC due to the circumstances, so he'd be a fool to come out and say the bike is a piece of shit. His action of losing the front after a dozen laps out of nowhere speaks louder than his PR filtered comments. Does anyone remember when Zarco tested the 2017 Yamaha chassis after Rossi and Vinales complained incessantly about it? His feedback was similar; there are no negatives, it's great, etc. But when it came time to walk the walk, Yamaha rolled that bike into his garage for 2018 preseason testing and he rejected it and continued to race the 2016-based chassis.
Saying a bike has no negatives when the bike indeed has negatives has to be the most Japanese thing I've ever read. Their entire culture revolves around saving face, showing respect and not criticizing superiors.
