Say what you want about how long it was in that wherehouse and why... that amount of explosive payload could sink a carrier and that's why it's stored at a port. I feel for the innocent killed...but that stockpile was a menace.
Was that a tasteless joke? Or just a misspelling? I know that many of us have a pretty macabre sense of humor, but... too soon...
I hope this doesn’t get me banned, but from what I know of this culture and others, trust in Allah and buddha makes these people not worry about things too much.
Found something: "The orange cloud that towered over the city following the blast was indicative of nitrate explosions, experts said, and suggested the release of toxic nitrogen dioxide into the air." I really don't know where to start with this statement...........just so much, that I'm not even going to bother.
Some place reported 3 kilotonnes of explosive force. I don’t buy that it was quite that big, but I’d definitely guess on the order of 1 KT at a minimum. When I saw the size of that explosion I figured it had to be a chemical plant or other industrial incident. Not even the US government has conventional bombs that big. I’m going with stupidity and incompetence for this incident.
A guys I saw on the internet who used to work for SPAWAR said it's probably a rods from god attack by Israel. They saw the initial fireworks explosion and used it as an excuse to take out the AN. Perfect cover.
