Thanks to the soldiers past and present. Especially those that have given the supreme sacrafice and those currently serving.
Time of Thanks Andy Roney hit it right on last night! He gave thanks to all of the fallen service people form all the past wars.Stating all the money spent on war, lifes lost.Asking why we can't do something to avoid it. Not going to happen, nice thought though. Thanks to all that have served:up:
Heard on the radio last night there is supposed ot be a nationwide moment of silence at 3pm. Not sure if it's true or not but it works for me. 3 is as good a time as any to remember those who have served and are serving so we can be who we are now.
Believe it or not Clinton started that in 2000: http://www.usmemorialday.org/speeches/president/may0200.txt
my dad and my son I dedicate this and every Memorial Day to the memory of my Father who served in the Pacific Theatre in WWII and to my son who is a Ranger in the Army Reserve
Went into DC yesterday and went up to the first WWII vet I saw and shook his hand, said thank you to him and his wife, gave him a card and left. Try it, it seemed to mean a lot to them.
No words can express just how grateful I am for all those that gave their life so I can live mine. So I'll just say a simple"Thank you" to as many as I can who have served or are serving and hope that it's a good start. Thank you!
Nice gesture Dave! And they do very much appreciate that...I've had vets tell me, they look at some of the younger people in today's society, and they have no idea the price of freedom that was bought for them to enjoy (which is true!) THANKS VETS!!! And PATTON WAS DA MAN
May God bless each and every person serving in our armed forces and bring them home safely to their loved ones. Thanks to all who serve and keep this great country of ours safe!
As a recently returned Army soldier, from Afghanistan, I would like to say YOU ARE WELCOME!! And as crazy as it sounds I would gladly do it for you again. I, and I am sure my comrades would agree, greatly appreciate your words and gestures of thanks and gratitude. Oh, and thanks again to everyone who contributed to my bike. VIR cycle Jam was an awesome weekend.
