One of the sticking points was the keeping of his crew (and entourage) within Petronas. Didn't see anything on how that panned out yet...
I mean, it was beyond time for Rossi to move aside. Fabio finished 5th overall during his rookie season on a brand new team, so he deserves a shot. Maverick finished 3rd so he isn’t going anywhere.
There's more to Rossi than results. At this point, he is synonymous with MotoGP. It's probably a vain hope, but one last win would be a glorious way to bow out.
I thought Rossi going to Petronas was kinda already a foregone conclusion? Was just a matter of signing paperwork assuming nothing crazy happened with him or Fabio this season
At 40 years old he finished the season 7th overall, two podiums, and in the points pretty much every race. I'd say that's still pretty competitive Edit: that's only about 35 points away from 3rd place in the season
The thought of painting any part of your wedding veggies or describing you as a fire truck never crossed street 4000 miles away from my mind.
He came a hare's whisker from winning a race last year. That is well better than most of the grid. In all my years watching (well, except 2011/12 ) I have always thought at the very start of the race he could be up front. I still feel that way. (not sure why The Rossi dialectic always seems to go lightswitch).
