so last year i sorta raced my hypermotard.. only made it to two races, but eh, it counts. i like to do things different (much to the chagrin of my local race shop when i drop off a bike and a bunch of parts and tell them to "make it fit" ) they always manage to make it work. The hyper was fun but really wasnt a good race bike. so fast forward to this season, i wanted to do more racing and i wanted to ride a bike that actually had race parts made for it (sorta)... well i had a tuono sitting in my garage and the guys at Pikes Peak made it work last year, so i thought i'd give it a go... (err, my local race shop give it a go). inspiration bike i just got these pics yesterday from my buddy... still a few things to sort out, but it's "mostly" done. 2018 tuono.. RSV4 plastics, RSV4 intake tubes, RSV4 upper fairing stay, RSV4 lower belly pan brackets. so the stock location of the tuono steering damper doesn't work with the RSV4 intake tubes, so it either has to be relocated to above the triple like the RSV4 or the intake tubes have to be trimmed. and the upper fairing has to be trimmed to allow for the handlebars to clear at full lock. some may ask why. well, i already had the tuono, and i like bikes with handlebars. and i like being difficult. that's pretty much it. on to the pics. now here's to hoping we have a race season...
Sweet start dude! The Pikes Peak bikes are super dope builds. I actually like how they’ve banned clip-ons - gives the streetfighter bikes a place to shine and makes sense to show those off on a true road course. I absolutely love the V4 SF concept bike that Dunne rode. That livery was just fantastic. Hopefully they release something like that as a special edition soon.
This is Super freakin cool...that inspiration bike is delicious hope you get as close as possible to it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
