Back in early February, one-by-one, the kids, in short succession, all came down with high fevers that were difficult to control. 103-104, all of them, along with weird spots on their toes. That, and they complained of not being able to taste anything. Two of them got spots on their trunks and legs and the two-year-old went into to the doc, twice, as her breathing was slightly labored. We wouldn’t have bothered on the breathing aspect had it not been for the fever. Influenza test came back negative and after about three weeks, everyone was fine. Wife and I just felt really tired for a week with aches and really sharp out-of-the-blue headaches that went away as fast as they came along.

This illness went through the school like wildfire, striking everyone to varying degrees, but nothing serious.

When able, I’ll try for the IGg and IGm tests but, based on the totality of circumstances here, this shit is blown way out of proportion.

Check out the time stamp on these photos.

Sunny and blue skies here today. Beaches are packed and I’m a six pack in ready to party. Fuck I wish Vegas was open I’d be there.

If you are within driving distance, it is totally worth a drive down the strip and see it completely devoid of people.
One of the strangest things I've ever seen.

The governor announced yesterday, a bunch of testing locations that were open. She went to one local, and they had no idea what was going on. They didn't swab her because the lab is so backlogged that they didn't know when they'd get caught up. The doctor did say she felt confident that she does have Covid. It has been 2 weeks today that she's been sick. Symptoms have been mild but pretty consistent(99-100° fever, lungs hurt). Hopefully this coming week is the end of it.

I’m in SoCal so not driving to see an empty strip. Same reason I’ve never been to a strip club in that town. What’s the point of you can’t play. I go there a lot and feel for the employees that are out of work like everywhere.

I have multiple dealers, bartenders, etc that I’ll text when I’m on my way in to understand what shifts they’re working so I can play at their tables, have their drinks, etc.

I can’t wait for Ginger to fast deal at mgm when they reopen, jimmy to pour stiff drinks at Park , Angelique to deal at Aria, etc. Tammy at the spa in Aria and the sportsbooks to reopen.

You better believe me and my buddies will be there! Do long as they can fly in from Calgary and Toronto.

I’m sure it is worse now. My wife and I drove out the weekend or two after Sept 11th. It was crazy how dead it was.

They never had a fever, or they didn’t have a fever “at time of triage”?

I thought a number of cases had fever, then got a little better, the started having breathing difficulties and went to hospital.

The daughter of my wife’s best friend was just diagnosed two days ago. She had to be hospitalized today for breathing difficulties.

Figured I would bump this. I previously had it. Was exposed to someone who tested positive while in Arizona the weekend before this. Many of the rest of my family that were there subsequently tested positive. I did not. I still think anyone that isn't immune compromised should just go get it over with.

I'm 29 in decent health (but on blood pressure medication from being a fatty in my youth) and had it back in July. Got it from an asshole I knew that came to a wedding after having a fever for 3 days beforehand and infected at least 6 other people I know of at the wedding.

Started off as a mildly scratchy throat for a couple days, very fatigued, then like a moderate cold for 2 days. Actually went back to work after 2 days at home because things were piling up and I felt mostly better (this was 6 days after exposure and after 3 days of decent symptoms) and when I went to eat lunch that day couldn't smell or taste a damn thing so went to get tested. I'd say I was at 75-80% for a week and a half after that and back to 100% a little over 2 weeks after exposure. If it wasn't for the lack of smell or taste I wouldn't have gotten tested as it wasn't even as bad as some colds I've had (although the fatigue was stronger than I've experienced) and I NEVER had a fever at all. Started checking myself twice a day once I got a scratchy throat and was never over 98. Makes me feel much safer when I have to get temp checked to go into work every morning. o_O

Covid round 3.....I' ve worked 46 hrs in 3 days on about 8 hrs sleep total. (pouring a concrete slab inside the old original UC Bearcat arena).

I felt 'something' coming on the past few days....It finally hit me hard at about hour 12 yesterday. Went to bed at 6 pm, woke up freezing....a few tylenol later, woke up soaking wet. No fever since 1 am.

Heading to work to get my crew situated for the day and then i'm done for the wknd.

Not as bad as Round 1, but a little tougher than Round 2. No shot.

P.S. My supervisor has been out all week with Covid....I won't be surprised if we all don't get it. 2 yrs ago, 10 out of 16 men on my crew and another crew were working hand in hand for a few days and they caught it. Shit does spread fairly easily it seems. Bunch of hot sweaty men breathing and working too close to each other. lol.
