    I don't disagree - now which number though? Underreporting all infected makes the death rate a whole lot less for example.

    Does it...or has the actual outcome just been delayed? I don't believe you'll ever know what would have been worse. The actual outbreak or the on going kick in the nuts to the people of this country and their personal economies.

    Huh? If it infected 30 million and they had 100,000 die that is hugely different than their reporter 1,678,000 cases and 100,000 dead. If it infected only 1.7 million and 300,000 died that is hugely different on the other extreme. What does it matter when they were reported one way or the other? No one has said this isn't a contagious virus...

    56 million people globally died in 2017. That comes out to 150k+ per day in 2017.

    Interestingly enough, between road injuries, homicide, drownings, conflict, fire, poisonings, terrorism and natural disasters there were approximately 2.3 million deaths. Of those 2.3 million, I would bet the vast majority of them did not wake up expecting to die the day they did.
