    I'm more impressed that he's also got 4 MiG-29's in his arsenal.

  4. Then Broome realized for once, I’ve been outdone. Must’ve made some damn good investments or have some serious financial backers. Very impressive.

    that article read like a late night infomercial.

    46 f18’s!

    but wait! there’s more!

    10 hawks!

    but wait! there’s more!

    L39’s! MiG29’s!

    act now and we’ll throw in some PC9’s!

    you need more? how about some turbo 337 sky masters!

    jesus. the spare parts for the f18’s cost a billion dollars alone.

    Reminds me of a Dos Gringos time;

    Ooooooh I wish I had the alpha of a hornet. While I can still pitch and roll, that other guy’s going out of control. Oh I wish I had the alpha of a hornet ...

    The article didn’t clearly explain the purpose of the fleet by adversarial force, or something similar. Is that to mean that they will have pilots in flying or some sort of drone operation?

    From what I gathered....he contracts with the government to fly his fleet of planes against our military for training purposes and for US Defense system checks/alerts.

    Think real life TopGun without the love story drama.

    I went to certify the safety of AirUSA's ejection seats on two T-59s they bought from S. Korea when I was doing that for the Navy, got to see his MiG up close. They and others like Draken supply red team training services to the military because it's way cheaper and lower risk than using Navy/Air Force operational aircraft and personnel. Then we had to investigate a crash with the same aircraft, onboard MCAS Yuma, AZ.

    Didnt know people could buy fighter jets this new.

    His fleet is probably ahead of the vast majority of countries. I say top 10 for sure.

    The linked article stated that is what he paid for the spare parts, and the plan is to get all of the planes in service.
