I read it last night, and it appears that he conflates two and four stroke carbs. He mentions adjusting the air mixture screw, which is a two stroke feature, whereas the four stroke carb has a fuel mixture screw. Plus the pictures are examples of two stroke carbs. So, ancient tech for four strokes, but current tech for two strokes (KTM TPI excluded).
