Stock market can hit zero and Wall Street can be littered with the corpses of all the ledge-jumpers, don’t mean a damn thing to me.

I not dismissing it. But I'd rather tear the bandaid off...get to the other side of it and move on. Even if I am one that doesn't come out the other side. The countries overall survivability would be better.

Who was complaining, best local hospital added 10 ICU beds and another 40 or so maternity and general beds a few years ago, some days it isn't enough, some days it's more than enough?

Because that would be the opposite of what the oh-so-necessary shutdown is supposed to do.

 

Since they were predicting millions there should be several hundred thousand at the least even if shutting everything down worked.
But it will be well under 100,000. Even 100,000 sounds like a lot until you take the time to research how many people die in this
country and the things that kill them.
