They be out there and of course there are still some 200/60s around. And last week at Daytona the 200/60 Daytona spec was used for 600cc bikes so it's not like a 200/60 rear is going to totally disappear soon

You are in MDM and Podium's back yard so those guys are the one to assist you. And your question has been addressed already on this thread somewhere but I've got to go, the movie is starting.

Can the 125/70 be used with any rear?

Recommended 125 with the new 200 rear? Stick with 120 for 180 rear?

Yes. Currently, the 125 front is only recommend to use with the 200/65 rear. The 120/70 should be used with the 180/60 rear.

What's the difference between the "P" slick and "D" slick? I didn't know there was a slick in 200/55...
The new D slick, based on the numbers, seems like it would be really tall in proportion to it's width.

P is for Pirelli and D is for brand D, OK?

Is there a difference in grip levels between the slicks and sc tires? How does the v3 dot's compare? I'm talking about on a 600 if it matters.

Let's start here. Are you racing, and if so novice or expert? Or are you doing track days only?

    Racing as an expert

Expert, ok! So the best choice would be the slicks, 120/70R17 & 180/60R17. The slicks are evolving faster than the DOTs because most top level race series use slicks. A set of SC1s are probably going to be your go to set. But if the track gets hot and greasy a SC0 rear would be best.

I'm not sure who will be the Grattan Pirelli guy this year, but Jeff from MTD Track Support was last year. Or if you are are racing Blackhawk get a hold of Jason from Farrell Performance. Here's a link to see more pirelliracer.com

Anyone tried the new superbike slicks yet? I rode the old ones last weekend and trying the new ones this weekend. Anyone know of set up changes right off the bat that they did?

    Asking for a friend....

If my friend has a Pirelli Diablo Superbike front slick that has no stickers on it, how does she identify the compound?
