A parent of a student at the church around the corner from me (literally) tested positive for covid-19 and they cancelled all school for today and tomorrow along with Sunday mass.

Masters postponed, date TBD. Really sucks for folks that spent most of the rental on fixing up the house for guests. Now they will have to figure out how to refund at least part of the $$

 

Yep. And the crew down there works their asses off so as to peak at that week. TBD means that they will have to stress out for a TBD amount of time.

 

The grounds people have (most likely) been icing the roots of the azaleas to keep them from blooming early due to warm weather. There are a lot of small hospitality vendors that are going to be hit HARD here. Of course Augusta isn't unique...a lot of businesses are going to take it on the chin on all of these event cancellations.

 

NASCAR has cancelled their next 2 races now. Yesterday they were going to run with no spectators.

Damnit, we were going to watch the Pelicans play the Hawks at the end of the month. Had tickets 8 rows back from the court...and they cancelled the damn season.

 

Why didn't this happen for H1N1, when more people died, kids, young people too?
